- Professional Building Systems, Inc. and Penn State
University have teamed up to build the entry in this week's
Solar Decathlon. This international competition is taking
place at the National Mall, in Washington D.C. The show
starts today and runs through October 18.
The Solar Decathlon is a biannual, international competition
sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy to inspire
students and faculty to design, build, and operate an
entirely solar-powered home. The exposure to this event is
predicted to reach over 1 billion people world-wide.

July 23rd, 2009 - We are proud to
present our new website to the public. It has taken us a
month to design and make functional. You may have noticed a
few new sections and features to the website, such as "home of the month". To participate in the home of the month,
all you need to do is submit a few pictures of the home that
we built for you. You can submit pictures of your home to
homeofthemonth@pbsmodular.com. The winner of the month
will be picked at the end of the previous month and receive a free PBS t-shirt.
Further prizes yet to be
announced.

The Worker, Homeownership, and
Business Assistance Act of 2009 has extended the tax
credit of up to $8,000 for
qualified first-time home buyers purchasing a principal
residence. It also authorized a tax credit of up to
$6,500 for qualified repeat home buyers.
