Modular Homes are built in a controlled environment and transported in modules which are temporarily attached to a steel carrier for transport. Once on site the modules are removed from the carrier, usually by a hydraulic crane, and placed on the prepared permanent foundation. The modules are properly aligned with the foundation and permanently attached. The carriers are then returned to the factory to be used for another delivery. Once the modular home is placed onto the foundation there are no discernible differences from a conventional site built home.
